Today, I had a constructive meeting with Eng. Eric Murithi Muuga, CS for Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation, and Mr. Julius Korir, PS for Water and Sanitation, at their offices in Maji House. We discussed key water projects in Emgwen Constituency, with a focus on addressing delays and ensuring progress. Key highlights from our discussion include:

1. Songoliet & Chesuwe Borehole Water Projects – These projects have stalled due to contractual issues, which are now being addressed to ensure work resumes swiftly.

2. 5 Borehole Water Projects – Although hydrological and geophysical surveys were completed last year, the following projects have seen no further progress:

– Kalyet Primary School

– Kiborgok Girls Secondary School

– Kamobo Secondary School

– Tulon Secondary School

– Kapchemoiywo Primary School

3. Kipture Community Water Project Rehabilitation – Pending payments to be processed to allow the contractor to resume and complete the remaining works.
